DECATUR - Glen Alan Chapman, 76 of Decatur passed away at 4:06 p.m. January 1, 2012 in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek. Glen was born April 29, 1935 in Jasper County, IL the son of Sy and Flossie Mae (Cramer) Chapman. He married Marilyn Stuart on March 20, 1970. She preceded him in death on February 1, 2004. Glen worked for almost fifty years for ADM. Most of his working career was spent in maintenance and most recently was working in the Renovations Division of the company. He was an avid vegetable gardener and enjoyed canning food.
Surviving are his children: Jean Brown and her husband Andrew of Decatur; Larry A. Chapman of South Carolina; and Rhonda Justice and her husband Donnie of Decatur; grandson: Clayton Stuart Chapman Justice of Decatur; Special friends: Bob and Dora Dalluge of Decatur; sister-in-law: Rita Chapman of Mt. Zion; also surviving are his two brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and several siblings.
