Chief Cook At County Home Dies While Working

Mrs. Augusta (Seigner) Harding, for 13 years chief cook at the Somerset County Home and Hospital, collapsed while at work in the institution kitchen about 5 Sunday evening. Before aid could reach her, she was dead. Coroner F. E. Sass of Boswell was called and declared death was due to coronary occlusion and death was instantaneous.

Suddenly, she toppled from the chair and was dead by the time medical assistance reached her.

Mrs. Harding was born in Essen, Germany, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Smith) Seigner, August 4, 1879. Besides her husband, Mrs. Harding is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. F. Wolfram, Lansing, Mich.; Mrs. Clark Wagner, Salisbury; Mrs. Homer McKenzie, Meyersdale; one son, James, Jr., Weberville, Mich., and six grandchildren, Mrs. John Niland, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. William Bowman and Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher, Meyersdale, and ??*.
