OREM - Ada Forsdyke Downs Holladay, 96, formerly of Orem, died Thursday in a Tooele rest home of causes incident to age. She was born April 1, 1875, in Cambridge, England, a daughter of Francis and Emma Housden Forsdyke. Funeral services were held Saturday and burial was in the Provo City Cemetery.
She married Samuel Downs in August 1905 in the Salt Lake Temple and he died in 1934. She then married Frank Holladay in 1953 in Salt Lake City and he died in 1955. Mrs. Holladay came to this country in 1905 and lived in Orem most of her married life.
Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Cecil Downs, Copperton; Jesse Downs, Memmon, Ida.; Winifred Olsen, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Elmer (Ada) Gordon, Tooele; 18 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
