Elizabeth immigrated to the United States aboard the S.S. Umbria on 15 November 1903, following her husband Sidney Charles Draper, who came over aboard the S.S. Campania on 10 October. She intended to bring with her their two year old daughter Theodora, but she died on 15 October just after Sidney's departure.
The couple lived at Rutherford, Bergen County, New Jersey after they arrived, and had three more children: Hazel Ellis, Beatrice Ellis, and Marjorie Evelyn.
On 6 September 1915 Elizabeth was placed in the New Jersey State Hospital at Greystone Park, Morris County, New Jersey. She remained there until her death on 9 September 1939.
