Bob Lowell Phipps
"Bob" Lowell Phipps, age 64, of Willard, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield.

He was born on March 28, 1948 in Willard to Barry Phipps and Bertha (Coffey) Phipps Stacey.

Bob served in the Army during Vietnam, where he was highly decorated, including, the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. Bob was a retired supervisor from the CSX Railroad in Willard. He was a member of the Willard Moose, Legion and V.F.W. He was an avid gardener and loved softball and golfing.

Bob is survived by his son, Barry Phipps of Willard; two daughters, Janzen Phipps of Willard and Kristin Phipps of Norwalk; grandson Markus Hicks of Willard; granddaughter, Kenzie Miller of Norwalk; loving companion, Carol Lofland of Willard; mother Bertha Phipps Stacey of Willard; sister, Hilda Buss of Willard; two brothers, Gary Phipps of Willard and Jeff Phipps of Jackson, Ohio; and niece and nephew, Kim and Garret Barber, along with several more nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Barry S. Phipps and brother-in-law, Rich Buss.

Friends called on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11 a.m., with Father Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to The Veteran Association at the Willard American Legion or V.F.W.
