Lawrence Bidlingmaier Nov. 8, 1916 - May 26, 1977

Lawrence E. Bidlingmaier, 60, Rt. 1, Argyle, Adams Township farmer, died Thursday morning, May 26, 1977, at his home following a heart attack.

Born on the home farm in Adams Township, Green County, on Nov. 8, 1916, he was the son of Edward H. and Louise Boss Bidlingmaier. He attended Dry Goods Box School in Adams Township. He was married to Evelyn Huntly on Nov. 25, 1937, in St. John's United Church of Christ by the late Rev. P. A. Schuh.

Mr. Bidlingmaier had farmed on the home farm and operated the Bidlingmaier Repair Shop there, repairing farm machinery and cars. He was also Adams Township roads patrolman for 45 years. He had lived on the home farm his entire lifetime.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; a son, Norman L. , Jesup, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Ruth) Enzinger, Dakota, Ill., and Mrs. Carl (Frieda) Liddicoat, Rt. 3; a brother, Marlen Bidlingmaier, on the home farm; and seven grandchildren.

His father died on Oct. 25, 1968, and his mother on Dec. 5, 1976.

He was a member of the Washington Reformation Church, secretary of the Argyle Lions Club, Stephenson County Antique Engire Club and honorary member of the Adams—Argyle Fire Department. He was a collector of gas engines and antique tractors,
Services will be Sunday, May 29, at 2:30 pm. in Washington Reformation Church. Rev. Duane McDonough of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Washington Church Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. in ShrinerNeushwander Funeral Home and after 1:30 p.m. in the church on Sunday. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
