Mrs. Emma R. Senft, 83, widow of Paul F. Senft, and formerly of 1570 West King Street, died yesterday at 5p.m., at Pleasant Acres Hospital.

Born in York county, she was the daughter of the late George and Amanda Kopp Runk.

She was a lifelong member of the Bethany United Church of Christ and belonged to its Women's guild. Mrs. Senft was a charter member and first president of the West York Democratic Club, a charter member of the Women's Democratic Council of York City and County, and a member of the Democratic Women's Federation of America.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Raymond P. March, 304 South Richland Avenue; Mrs. T. J. Shellenberger, 214 South Duke Street; Mrs. Dorothy M. Gentzler, 1369 West Market Street; and Mrs. Charles R. Markle, 239 Eastland Avenue; two sons, Franklin G. Senft, 510 Sundale Drive; and Richard D. Senft, of Freemont, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. James Emrick, of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.

Rev. Herbert L. Rice, the Bethany pastor, will officiate at the funeral at 2p.m., Thursday, at Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 East Market Street. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
