Mrs. Sarah Frances (Sledge) Hanover, 68, wife of J.M. Hanover, of Stockwell, died Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at St. Elizabeth hospital, where she had been a patient for several weeks, suffering with head injuries received in an automobile accident, a mile south of Stockwell. Born in St. Paul, Kansas, Feb 7, 1870, she married Mr. Hanover, Jan 10 1888, in Fredonia, Kansas, and came to Lafayette in 1923. About three years ago they moved to Stockwell. She was a member of Stockwell M.E. church. Besides her husband, she leaves eight children; Mrs. Jeannette Morrow, Bryn Mawor, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Elsie Wills, Canton, S.D.; Mrs. Louis Mentzner, Omaha, Nebraska, Mrs. Bernice Schreiber, Mrs. Helen Rooze and Mrs. Gladys May, Lafayette; Roy Hanover, Stockwell, and Raymond Hanover, Dayton.
