Mr. Hanover was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Germany. He was a brick mason for various contractors in the area. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Brick Masons Local 11.
Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Nida Jo (Mrs. Stan) Shafer of Lafayette; two sons, Roy Edward Hanover of Lafayette and Maj. Phillip Hanover, serving with the Air Force in Hawaii; five sisters, Gladys (Mrs. Clarence) May, Mrs. Helen Rooze, both of Lafayette, Mrs. Bernice Schrieber of Springbrook, WI, Mrs. Lois Buchanan of Spooner, WI, and Mrs. Junetta Morrow of Fort Worth, TX; one brother, Raymond Hanover of Lafayette; and eight granddaughters.
