FARMINGTON - Norman A. Morin, 73, a resident of Intervale Road, Jay, died Saturday evening, June 18, 2005, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for three days following a short battle with cancer. Norman was born June 14, 1932, in Jay, the son of Amidee and Irvine (Burbank) Morin. While in high school he stopped to help a stranded motorist in North Jay and was struck by a passing vehicle resulting in the loss of his leg. He was a 1950 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. May 15, 1954, he married Marilyn Clark in Lewiston. In 1957, they moved to Connecticut, where they lived for 15 years, later returning to Livermore Falls. He worked for Paul Revere Life Insurance and later owned and operated Norm's Redemption Center in Livermore Falls. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marilyn of Jay; three daughters, Marjorie Merrill and her husband, George, of Jay; Melodie Zale and her husband, Rick, of Livermore Falls, and Carla Galloway and her husband, Bob, of Mass.; three sons, Norman "Champ" A. Morin, and his wife, Joanne, of Hudson, Gregory Morin of Jay, and Carl Morin and his wife, Kathy, of Wilton; three brothers, Richard Morin and his wife, Francine, of Narragansett, R.I.; Ronald Morin and his wife, Becky, of Carrabassett; and Brian Dube and his wife, Pam, of Livermore Falls; three sisters, Jean Gosselin of Auburn, Joanne Daoust and her husband, Walter, of Livermore Falls, and Paula Ward and her husband, David, of Livermore Falls; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Livermore Falls. (Bangor Daily News 6/20/2005)
