Jean Dryden
Long-time East Multnomah County resident Jean A. Dryden died of cancer on Dec. 31 in Portland. She was 67.
She was born in Heisson, Wash., on April 9, 1921. She married Rollie Dryden on Oct. 5, 1940, in Vancouver, Wash., and the same year the couple moved to East Multnomah County where she was employed as a chef at the Aero Club of Oregon in Portland for 29 years while her husband operated a television repair service in Gresham. She retired in 1976 and her husband died in 1988.
She was a member of the Dogwood Garden Club.
She is survived by her son, Barry Dryden of Fair Oaks, Calif., her brother, Walter Stowie of Portland; her sister, Joyce Moore of Portland, and a granddaughter.
Funeral was held Jan. 3 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland. Her family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Vincent, St. Vincent Medical Foundation, 9205 S.W. Barnes Road, Portland, Ore., 97225.
