PORT MONMOUTH - Joseph Calciana, 79, of 349 Shoal Harbor Court, died Sunday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, after a long illness.
Born in Newark, he moved to the Bayshore area 45 years ago. Mr. Calciana was a bartender at Buck Smith's, Keansburg, for 28 years, before retiring last year.
He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Furman McDonald; a son, Joseph Calciana Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Jeger of Abenel, Mrs. Lillie Miller and Mrs. Ethel Durka, both of West Keansburg; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Brenda MacDonald of New Monmouth, Mrs. Anita Conley of Keansburg and Mrs. Patricia Moll of Colts Neck; a stepson, Maj. Martin McDonald, USAF, Wright Air Force Base, Ohio; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and 21 step great-grandchildren.
The Laurel Funeral Home, Keansburg, is in charge of arrangements.
