Rienzi, Mississippi -

Janice Juanita (Langston) Cox, 71 of Rienzi, MS passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at her daughters home in Cherokee, Colbert Co., AL.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 6:00pm-9:00pm and Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 11:00am until time of service at Magnolia Funeral Home.

Service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Corinth, MS, officiated by Bro. Charlie Cooper.

Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery in Rienzi, MS

Janice was born June 26, 1940 in Alcorn Co., MS to John Lesley "Les" Langston & Laura May (Inman) Langston.

Janice was employed at Biggersville School as a Cafeteria worker for many years.

She was a member of Danville Baptist Church.

She loved her family and friends. Janice loved being with her grandkids and playing with her great grandkids. Her family was her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Cox) Huggins and husband Jeff of Cherokee, AL and Renee Dale (Cox) Vuncannon of Rienzi, MS; five granddaughters, Jessica Irons and husband Pat, Jamie Burnett, Casey Palmer and husband Brandon, Emily Carpenter, Lindsey Vuncannon, Dexter Huggins and wife Lindsay, Deidira Huggins; two, great-grandchildren, Noah Burnett and Leah Burnett; two brothers, James H. "Jack" Langston of Rienzi, MS; Ray Langston and wife Thelma Jean of Rienzi, MS; four sisters, Irene (Langston) Johnson, Ilene (Langston) Cooksey and husband Charles all of Corinth, MS, Betty (Langston) Brooks and husband Billy of Rienzi, MS, Sheila (Langston) Hales of Walnut, MS; four sisters-in-law: Edna Mae Langston of Portage, IN, Janette Phillips and husband Eugene of Gibraltar, Michigan, Frances Richardson of Jackson, MS, Ruby Richardson of Romilus, MI; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be, Brad Brooks, Bill Brooks, Brian Hales, Joe Bishop, Jerry Cartwright and Chad Potts.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles Burton Cox; granddaughter, Olivia Huggins; her parents, John Lesley "Les" Langston and Laura May (Inman) Langston; two brothers, Aaron Langston and Eules Milton "Duley" Langston; one sister: Eva Bell (Langston) Cartwright; paternal grandparents, William Jonathon "John" Langston & Nettie Ann (Thompson) Langston; maternal grandparents, William Thomas Inman and Lena Belle "Polly" (Lauderdale) Inman.
