Harry Acker
Harry Acker, aged 75 of Oneonta, died January 8, at Fox memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since November 8.
Mr. Acker was born February 2, 1890, in the Town of Middlefield, the son of W.B. and Adeline (Ottaway) Acker. He married Myrtle Mumford in Cooperstown on January 20, 1912. He was a machinist and plumber and had worked for the Townsend Hardware Store in oneonta for many years. He had lived in Oneonta for 46 years.
Surviving are his wife' several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday from the bookhout Funeral home in Oneonta, with the Rev. William Fewell, pastor of the West End Community Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be later in Oneonta Plains cemetery.
