"Death of Mrs. Fabian Jacques.
Adella, wife of Fabian Jacques, died at their residence in Grout, June 7, 1893, aged 38 years of lung fever. Mrs. Jacques was born in Bay City, and was a daughter of Andrew [Jacob] Crutchfield. She was united in marriage with Fabian Jacques 15 years ago, and leaves four children as the fruit of their union.
Funeral services were held at the Grout schoolhouse, Rev. P.D. Huff preaching the funeral sermon. There was a large attendance, and the children of the school joined the procession carrying flowers. She died happy in a hope of blessed immortality."
Della married her husband on 30 Jun 1877 in Unionville, Columbia Twp, Tuscola Co., MI. Their children were: Emma, Fabian III, Maude, and Saloma. The children were age 13, 11, 9, and 5, respectively, when their mother died.
