Louise was born May 11, 1919, in Drumright, Okla., to William and Effie Patterson Coffee. She married James Renfro in Ada, Okla., on March 16, 1940. He died July 3, 1998.
She lived in Sweet Home and San Diego before settling in Springfield three years ago.
She received a bachelor's degree in education from San Diego State University in 1964.
She worked as a school teacher. She was also employed with General Dynamics as a plaster pattern maker.
She served as a volunteer gleaner and Sunday school teacher. Her interests included genealogy and she enjoyed crafts and collecting dolls and quilts.
Survivors include two sons, Walter "Lowell" of Springfield and James of Hanford, Calif.; a sister, Billie Jean Deckert of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Lucretia, died previously.
Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery in San Diego. England's Eugene Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
