Los Angeles Times, Fri. Mar. 26, 1999, p. B7:4. Buese, Sherman Fargo, born July 6, 1918 in Salt Lake City UT; passed away peacefully on Mar. 22, 1999, in Beverly Hills. Sherm came to Los Angeles as a young child with his family. As a young man he excelled in sports, including playing on the USC Varsity tennis team. He served faithfully in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during WWII building air-fields, leaving the service wiht the rank of major. After obtaining his engineering degree from USC, he devoted 29 years of service to Southern California Edison Company, eventually retiring as a Vice-President. Sherm is survived by his beloved wife, Janet D. Buese, and was preceded in death by his first two wives, Janice and Carolyn. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Warner of Honolulu; and two children, James and Eileen Buese; step-children, Lynn Wilkins, Mitchell Hammmond, Sheryl Pangman, and Christine O’Handley; and nince grandchildren, Meghen Moscati, Matthew and Peter Buese, David Hammomnd, Wendy Guss, Shelley and Brandon Pangman, and Jeffrey and Kevin Stube. A private memorial service will be held.
