Services for Ivan Albert Cockroft of Eudora, Kan., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Mesa View Mortuary at Delta, with the Rev. Veryl Roth officiating. Mr. Cockroft died Sunday in Lawrence, Kan., after a brief illness. He was 90. Mr. Cockroft, a retired farmer from the Delta area, had lived in Eudora, Kan. since 1973. He was born Aug. 8, 1895, in Phillips County, Kan. He is survived by his wife, Edna Kersey Miller, a retired teacher from Montrose County RE-1J School District; a daughter, Evelyn Babcock of Greeley; five sons, Bill of Austin, Donald of Greeley, Dean of Evans, Lee of Austin and Dee of Delta; a stepson, John Kersey of Eudora; three sisters, Gladys Kennedy of Alma, Neb., Lena Lanman of Smith Center, Kan., and Lillis Rumbaugh of Phillipsburg, Kan.; a brother, Glen of Oldfield, Mo.; 26 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call between 5 and 7 tonight at Mesa View Mortuary. Burial will be in Memory Garden at Delta City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
