Clarence Baker was born near Ithaca, October 22, 1895, and departed this life in Arcanum, November 3, 1909, at the age of 15 years and 12 days.

How brief, how soon ended. Who can tell the measure of his days; they are as a shadow; in the morning they are full of hope and expectation, but in the evening all hope and expectations are blasted. God has permitted this life to live a few years among its family and friends, then he brought it to a close. Why? Who knows? And none will venture an answer. Let us rather be reconciled in his departure and trust all to a loving and Allwise Father who doeth all things well.

He with his mother, sister. Grandma Schaar consecrated himself to God in baptism. He said to his mother just a few moments before he passed away, "I have faith in Jesus; he has forgiven all of my sins," then fell asleep from which there is no awakening here.

He leaves to mourn his departure father, mother, sister, Grandfather, Grandmother Schaar and a host of relatives and friends.

Rest little traveler thy journey is over; rest sweetly rest on that beautiful shore.
