Charleen Cooper Crespo March 21, 1946 - April 16, 2012 Charleen was born in Langley, South Carolina. She grew up with five sisters and two brothers. She met her husband and soul mate, Rafael Crespo, in Culver City, California. Charleen and Rafael were married 42 years and were blessed with 4 children and 11 beautiful grandchildren. She loved and cherished her family with all her heart and especially her relationship with Christ our Lord. Aside from her great love for her family, she enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and her 2 dogs, Mr. Happy and Slim. She is preceded in death by her father, Otis Hule Cooper; mother, Clara Sirleen Harden Cooper; brothers, Gary Cooper, Jackie Hule Cooper, and sister Evelyne Mary Cooper Finch. Charleen leaves behind her husband, Rafael Crespo Sr.; daughters, Theresa Clara McKay, Donna Charleen Crespo; sons, Rafael Crespo Jr., David Cooper Crespo; son in-law, Todd McKay; daughter in-laws, Lidia and Cassandra; and 11 grandchildren; Aaron, Sean, Joshua, Timothy, Michael, Jacob, Brandon, Alyssa, Jaden, Grace and Kahealani; and her sisters, Debbie Cooper Blackwell, Cathy J Cooper, Stephanie June Cooper Tucker and Dolores Kay Cooper. Mom went home peacefully surrounded by her loving husband, children, grandchildren and family members. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and though we will miss her dearly, we have the assurance that we will one day see her again in heaven. Services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Viewing is Friday, April 20, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. and burial service is Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
