She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Amelia Hall Burnett; husband, Foy Sawyers; son, Clerin Sawyers; two grandchildren, Denise Haynes, and Rodney Sawyers.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Dale and Wanda Sawyers of Fancy Gap; sister Eva Marsh of Cana;
brother, Jimmy Lee Burnett of Mt. Airy, NC; special sister-in-law, Juanita Burnett of Galax; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Virginia Persinger of Hillsville;
daughter-in-law, Mae Burnette of Hillsville;
six grandchildren and spouses, Becky Danison, Ricky Sawyers, Todd Sawyers, Brad and Pam Sawyers, Greg and Barbara Sawyers, Donna and Lloyd Williams.
Seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Semones Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the funeral home.
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
