Information from Revolutionary War Pension files:
According to documents included in the Revolutionary War Pension Papers, Barbara was living in Brown County, OH (just across the river from Bracken Co, KY) with her son George and family on 20 Jun 1840 when she filed for her husband's pension as his widow. Her sworn statement included the date of their marriage (01 Aug 1777, Northumberland Co, PA; by Benjamin Wiser, Justice of the Peace) and the date of Andrew's death (21 May 1823). Supporting sworn testimony was provided by three relatives-all of Brown County, OH: her son John Dilman [sic], who stated that he was born 06 Nov 1783, the fourth child of Andrew and Barbara, her son-in-law David Houser, of Clermont County OH, who stated that he had married "one of the children of Andrew and Barbary" (but failed to mention which one) on 4 November 1813, and son George Dillman, who stated that he was born 29 Mar 1782 in Northumberland Co, PA, and was their oldest son. He further stated that his parents had 13 children, the oldest of whom was the wife of Jacob Byers of Bracken Co, KY. George also mentioned that his father wrote in German rather than English.
