Vivian Wake Waters, 93, of Sikeston, died May 4, 2009, at her daughter's home in Crowder.
Born Jan. 15, 1916 in Tarkio, daughter of the late Archie and Bessie Adams Hogue Sr., she was a member of First Baptist Church, Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi.
She was married to Drury Austin Wake; and he preceded her in death Jan. 12, 1957. On Nov. 4, 1960, she married Wallace E. "Scott" Waters, who preceded her in death Feb. 15, 2002.
She was also preceded in death by one son, William Rodney Wake, on March 27, 1984.
Survivors include: one son, Gary Wake; one daughter, Karna Ware; one brother, Archie Hogue Jr.; one sister, Verna Claywell; and six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and six great-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held at the Ponder Funeral Home, where services were held with The Rev. John Nimmo, Crowne Hospice Chaplain, officiating.
Burial followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Danny Ware, Gary Ware, Damon Ware, David Ruedrich, Kenny Morse and Bobby Penrod.
