William Holsclaw, an old-time steamboat engineer, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Briggs, Thirteenth street near Spring. He was seventy years old. He leaves his aged widow and three children. On account of infirmities he retired from the river several years ago. Deceased was a member of Hope Lodge, No. 88, I.O.O.F. - New Albany Public Press 16 Jan 1901
