Alvin Dee Ard, 71, of Wilford, died May 13, 2004, at his home of natural causes. He was born November 29, 1932 in Clementsville to Kenneth and Ida Marie Umphrey Ard. He attended school in Clementsville and Madison High School in Rexburg. He served in the Army Infantry during the Korean War from 1950-52. He married Carol Dawn Timothy December 10, 1952 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Rexburg and Sugar City for many years. For the last six years he has lived in Wilford. Carol died in April 1998. Dee worked most of his life in construction and specialized in demolition. Work was his hobby and he found humor in life. He is survived by his children, Jay Dee Ard of St. Anthony, Cari (Mike) Hernandez of West Valley City, Utah, Quinn (Beth) Ard and Tim (Terri) Ard of Magna, Utah, Jason (Rose) Ard of Ucon and John Ard of Denver; brothers, Ted (Carmen) Ard of Rexburg, Robert (Betty) Ard of Billings, Mont., Tom (Dianna) Ard of Boise and Max (Carolyn) Ard of Rexburg; a sister-in-law Lelia Ard of Idaho Falls and 12 grandchildren.
