During WWII, Leslie served as a combat engineer. He was attached to the 84th Infantry Division, the Railsplitters. This division served in the Dutch Panhandle & German frontier north of Aachen, and in the Battle of the Bulge. Specifically, Leslie fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Leslie passed away on October 19, 2000 in Grovespring.
Leslie loved to play music, tinkering around with old cars and researching his family's history.
