GENOA - Lloyd Johnson, 79, of Genoa died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa, with Pastor Julie Hampton officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Genoa.

Mr. Johnson was born April 3, 1933, in Genoa to Gust and Edith (Hokanson) Johnson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Moseley, and a son, Dan Johnson.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Jean Johnson of Genoa; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ken and Annette Johnson, Bob Johnson, Don and Ginny Johnson, all of Genoa; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Jim Moseley, and his wife, Mary, of Scottsbluff; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Johnson of Genoa; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Jackie Johnson of Genoa.

Lloyd attended District 21 grade school and Genoa High School. On Nov. 18, 1950, Lloyd was united in marriage to Jean Holmstedt in Grand Island. They farmed their entire lives in rural Genoa and milked cows until the early 1980's. Lloyd enjoyed traveling to farm sales and going to rodeos. Lloyd and Jean took several trips, including going to Sweden to visit Lloyd's family. He served on the District 30 School Board and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids and going to their activities.

Lloyd was also preceded in death by his parents, Gust and Edith Johnson; great-grandchildren, Logan Johnson and John Mark Muhsman; and uncles Edwin, Emil, and Erick Hokanson.
