PROMINENT WEST SIDE WOMAN IS TAKEN BY DEATH

Mrs. George P. Steinhauer Dies in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital
            --------------------------
    Mrs. George P. Steinhauer, aged 62, prominent and highly esteemed resident of the West Side, wife of George P. Steinhauer, cabinet manufacturer, died this morning at 10 in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital at Kingston, after a few days' illness of complications. She was born in the East End section of Wilkes-Barre, the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine Kappler, and had resided at the family home, 416 North Maple avenue, for the past nineteen years.
    Mrs. Steinhauer was a devout communicant of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Kingston. She was prominent in the Woman's Auxiliary, of which she was a past president. She was a member of Queen Esther Chapter, No. 170, Order of Eastern Star; a member of Irem Temple Auxiliary, and a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Deiu Le Veut Commandery, Knights Templar.
    Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Mrs. E. L. Jones, of Kingston; Walter H. Steinhauer of Kingston, Miss Edna L. Steinhauer at home, Arthur F. Steinhauer of Kingston, Miss Emily R. Steinhauer at home, George K. Steinhauer of Kingston, and Edward W. Steinhauer at home. She is also survived by a brother, Henry W. Kappler of Forty Fort.
