Norma Gwen Schuldt, 71, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away April 16, 2012, at The Good Samaritan Center, Idaho Falls Village, of natural causes.

Norma was born June 1, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Richard Caughie and Gwendola Mangum Caughie. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Riverside Elementary School, O. E. Bell Junior High School, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1958.

She married Merlin Joe Evens in 1959, and they were later divorced. She then married Gerald Schuldt and they later divorced.

Norma worked at Sears, for the AEC, and at French's (Pillsbury). Other than five years in Bell Gardens, California, and three years in Moore, Idaho, she lived her entire life in Idaho Falls.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed watching baseball (especially the Atlanta Braves), reading, playing the clarinet, playing pool, and bowling. Norma loved helping others, spending time with her kids and many grandkids, and always sacrificed for those she loved.

25 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Pete Jenkins.


Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Bishop Dean Ward of the Idaho Falls LDS 14th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Friday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
