Clarence Victor Etter, 83, died at 5 AM Sunday, April 9, 1995, in his Lafayette home. Born Feb. 1, 1912, at Buck Creek, he formerly lived at Indianapolis, and from 1960-1977, at Bardstown, KY, moving to Lafayette in 1985. He married Mary Lucille Ferkel in 1937, at Rushville, IN; she survives.

Mr. Etter was a truck operator for 50 years. He worked at the Wood Terminal at Bardstown, and also was a retired teamster with Local 89 at Louisville, KY. He was a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church in Lafayette.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Betty Ann Dixon (husband Wick) of Lafayette, Janet Kay Parker (husband Thomas) of Oldsmar, FL, and Carol Sue Ping (Husband Mchael) of Morgantown, NC; a son, Robert Louis Etter of Indianapolis; two brothers, Leonard Etter of Lafayette and Kenneth Etter of Indianapolis; a sister, Velma Sheppard of Houston, TX; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A brother, John Etter, preceded in death.
