His death certificate indicates that George Clarence Bacon died November 4, 1951 and was 65 years old.

There are two obituaries here, the first is from the Sycamore True Republican newspaper and it is not known which paper the second one came from, it was found taped in the back of his Memorial Book. It may have come from the Rockford or Belvidere Paper.

George C. Bacon, 64, of Kingston died Sunday morning at 7:25 o'clock at St. Mary's hospital in DeKalb, where he had been a patient since Oct. 21. He had been under the doctor's care since the first of September.
He was born October 14, 1886, at Kirkland, the son of Elmer and Eliza Stenner Bacon. On June 25, 1918, he was married to Edythe King. He served overseas in World War I with the 331st artillery 86th Division. After returning in 1919, he farmed in the rural area of Kingston, until 1941, when the family came to the village of Kingston to live. He was later employed at the Leich Electric Co., in Genoa until September of 1950.
Surviving are his wife and children, Paul of Garden Prairie, Nellie Smith and Phyllis Avernathy of Kingston, Elmer of Genoa, Violet Ramey of Bull's Gap, Tenn., Jean, Wilmer, Walter, Donna and Georgia Dell at home.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Lena Uplinger of Kingston, Clara Littlejohn of Kirkland, one brother, Wilmer of Genoa and 10 grand children. Two daughters and two sons preceded him in death.
Funeral services are to be held this Tuesday afternoon at Kingston Methodist church, with the Rev. Stanley Lane officiating. Burial will take place in the Mayfield cemetery.




George C. Bacon, 65, life-long resident of the Kingston community, died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday in St. Mary's hospital, DeKalb, where he had been a patient since Oct. 25. He had been in declining health for one year. Mr. Bacon was born Oct. 14, 1886, the son of Elmer and Eliza Bacon. He married Edith King on June 25, 1918 in Kingston. They farmed in the Kingston area until 1941 when they moved to Kingston and since then Mr. Bacon had been employed by the Leich Electric company in Genoa. Mr. Bacon was a veteran of world war 1. He served overseas with the 331st field artillery, 86th division.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edith Bacon; six daughters, Mrs. Nellie Smith and Mrs. Phyllis Abernathy, both of Kingston; Mrs. Violet Ramey, Bull's Gap, Tenn.; and Jeanne, Donna and Georgia Bacon, all at home; four sons, Paul Bacon, Garden Prairie; Elmer Bacon, Genoa; and Wilmer and Walter, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Uplinger, Kingston; and Mrs. Clara Littlejohn, Kirkland; one brother, Wilmer Bacon, Kingston; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kingston Methodist church with the Rev. Stanley Lane officiating. Kingston post of the American Legion will conduct military rites. Burial will be in Mayfield cemetery. Friends may call at the Cooper funeral home in Genoa until noon Tuesday.
