Died 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Baton Rouge General Hospital. Native of McComb, Miss., resident of 4141 Pocasset. Age 55 [sic 54].

Survived by his widow, the former Sarah Jane Arahand; one son, Carlton E. Jr., Baton Rouge; two step-sons, Stephen F. Middleton, J. T. Middleton, Baton Rouge; two step-daughters, Mrs. Robert Partin, Baton Rouge and Mrs. Alton Reed, Mineral Wells, Tex.; five sisters, Mrs. Lula Sartin, Mrs. Edith McManaus [sic McManus], Mrs. Lois Robinson, Mrs. John Thomas, Baton Rouge, Miss Opal Spiers, New Orleans; five brothers, Dewey, Bonifay, Fla., Woodrow, Denham Springs, Arnold, Kingsville, Tex., Paul, Baton Rouge, Ottice, Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren.

Body at Rabenhorst Parlors where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, conducted by Maj. J. C. Cheveallier. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
