Funeral services for Ralph Pineur, 55, of 513 11th St. S.W., were held on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lawrence Gallman officiating. A family service was held at 1:30 p.m. at the Boldt Funeral Home. The Misses Gretchen and Serena Kirsch sang "Abide With Me." Interment was made in the Maple Lawn Cemetery. The pallbearers were E. P. Glende, Leander Paquette, Harold Spitzack Jr., Walter Pavek, Harry Lavoy and Howard Plitzkow. The honorary pallbearers were Bernard Niner, Harold Kenow, Edwin Smuda, Carl Johnson, Leroy Dierks, Aaron Ross, Elmer Wegner, Vernon Radtke, Edward Drewitz and Walter Velzke, all members of the church council.
Mr. Pineur passed away on Saturday evening, Oct. 25, at the St. Lucas Deaconess Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on May 14, 1903, to Mr. and Mrs. Noel Pineur in Walcott Township in Rice County. On July 18, 1928, he was married to Lydia Graves in Faribault. Mr. Pineur was employed at the Nutting Truck and Caster Company for 29 years. He was a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church and also served on many church committees.
Mr. Pineur is survived by his wife; by one daughter, Mrs. Ronald Ranem (Joanne) of Minneapolis; by one son, Gerald Pineur of Faribault; by two grandchildren, Randall Pineur and Carolyn Ranem; by three sisters, Mrs. Delvina Thiffault, Mrs. James Parkos of Faribault and Mrs. Evelyn Weishaar of Milwaukee, Wis.; by one brother, Joseph Pineur of Frenchtown, Mont. He was preceded in death by his parents, by one brother and two sisters. Relatives and friends attended the funeral from Frenchtown, Mont., Milwaukee, Wis., Minneapolis, Anoka, Owatonna, Hastings, Medford, Springfield, Rochester and Pemberton.
