Mrs. James (Adeline) Parkos, 89, a longtime resident of Faribault, died Sunday, April 16, at Rice County District One Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Faribault with the Rev. George Freeman officiating. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Tuesday at Parker-Kohl Funeral Home and Wednesday until the hour of the service. Daughters of Isabella and IC Rosary Society will recite the rosary at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and the parish vigil prayers will be said at 4:30 p.m. Adeline Genevieve Pineur, daughter of Noel and Mary Durand Pineur, was born May 4, 1899, in Walcott Township, Rice County. She married Charles O'Connor in 1917 in Faribault. He preceded her in death in 1928. In 1929 she married James Parkos in Faribault. He preceded her in death in 1966. She is survived by four son, John O'Connor of Faribault, Raymond O'Connor of Austin, and Bernard and James Parkos, Faribault; nine daughters, Mrs. Margaret Trahan of Faribault, Mrs. Lorraine Modrow of Minneapolis, Mrs. Mary Alice Keilen of New Richmond, Wis., Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Schweisthal of Faribault, Yvonne Parkos of Winona, Mrs. Robert (Eloise) Walkowiak of Minneapolis, Mrs. Thomas (Phyllis) Jandro of Faribault, Mrs. Gene (Lois) Sheridan of Rosemount, and Mrs. Raul (Sherry) Martinez of Calif.; 78 grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marie Borst; two sons, Charles and Anthony O'Connor; four sisters, Delvina Thiffault, Mary Schema, Margaret Van Houdt and Evelyn Weishaar; and three brothers, Joseph, Ralph and Ernie PIneur.
