Lucetta Licettee Lemmons was born on 5 February 1810 in Virginia, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Morgan Lemmons. She married Charles Blakely on 25 January 1826 in Warren County, Tennessee.

In 1830 Charles and Lucetta moved to Morgan County, Illinois. They remained there until 1841, when they moved to Jefferson County, Iowa. They lived in Jefferson County until 1874, when they moved to Washington township, Taylor County, Iowa.

Lucetta passed away on 13 July 1903 in Taylor County and was buried beside her husband at Lexington Cemetery, Clayton Township, Taylor County, Iowa.

They had 10 children: Alexander (1829 - 1904), Elizabeth (1831 - 1921), John (1834 - 1921), Sarah (1836 - 1847), Rhoda (1838 - 1879), Anna (1841 - 1874), Charlotte (1844 - 1947), Licetta (1846 - 1921), Catherine (1849 - 1942), Margaret (1852 - 1943).
