p.m. today for Eddy O. Smith, 74,
formerly of Sharpsville, who died
Friday evening at, the home of a son
in Indianapolis. He had been ill for
one year. Officiating was the Reverend
Harry Jones and burial was in Nevada
cemetery following services at the
Warner Funeral Home in Sharpsville.
The deceased was born February
17, 1887 in Sharpsville, the son of
John F. and Margaret Jane (Andrews)
Smith. He was married to
Bertha Clover, who passed away
in 1955. A retired toolmaker, he
and his wife lived in Kokomo, Wisconsin,
and Indianapolis.
Survivors include three daughters,
Mrs. Frank Gawel and Mrs.
Donald Johnson, both of Indianapolis;
Mrs. R. M. Christian, California;
four sons, John of Indianapolis;
Denzil in Florida; Richard in
Arizona; and Lawrence in California.
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs.
Belle Flick, California; 27 grandchildren,
seven great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
