SYLVESTER — Elizabeth McDonald James, 81, of Sylvester, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Palmyra Nursing Home in Albany.

Graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. today (Monday) in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Harrell officiating.

Born in Worth County on September 19, 1924, Mrs. James was the daughter of the late Preston Lemuel McDonald and Jewell Davis McDonald. She was widow of Alvin C. James, who died February 22, 1999. She was formerly employed with Suburban Manufacturing Co. and a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and has lived most of her life in Worth County.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda Faye Lee and Osborn of Albany; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Mack James and Diane of Holly Hill, SC; seven grandchildren, Kevin Lee, Allen Lee, Kaye Brunson, Mindy Hearn, Kayla James, Dr. Rick Murphy and Kevin Murphy; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margie McCrary of Sylvester, Dorothy Bowen of Albany, and Shirley West of Orlando, FL; and three brothers, Royce McDonald of Sylvester, Wendell McDonald of Ocilla, and Rex McDonald of Montezuma.
