Mr. Johnny "Wendell" McDonald, 82, of Wray, Georgia, formerly of Worth County, died Tuesday September 13, 2022 at Crisp Regional Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held on Friday September 16, 2022 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Holt Baptist Church Cemetery in Ocilla, Georgia. The Rev. Craig Huckabee will officiate.
Mr. McDonald was born on July 24, 2022 in Worth County to the late Preston L. and Jewell Davis McDonald. He was a retired farmer, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, watching the wildlife, and spending time with his family. Mr. McDonald was a member of Salem Baptist Church, and attended Holt Baptist Church in Ocilla, GA..
Survivors include his wife, Florence Adrian Paulk McDonald of Kathleen, GA; children, Ken McDonald (Cathy) of Worth County, GA, and Belinda Tucker (Keith) of Kathleen, GA; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Oz West, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. McDonald is preceded in death by his siblings, Ethel, Audrey, Mary, Preston, Elizabeth, Margie, Royce, Pearly, Dorothy, Shirley, and Rex.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until funeral hour at Banks Funeral Home.
