MRS. SARA DURHAM
Mrs. Sara Estelle Durham, 74, 810 South 14th Street, died at 12 midnight last night at her residence following an illness of several months.
A native of Rockmart, Ga., and a resident of Gadsden for the past 43 years, Mrs. Durham was a retired licensed practical nurse, and a member of 12th Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Nell D. Heaton, Gadsden; a son, H.H. Durham, Gadsden; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday at 12th Street Baptist Church, with the Revs. Don Barfield and I.C. Welborn officiating.
Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Horace McDill, Ed McDill, O.M. Smith, Ernest Hagan, E.L. Wilson, E.C. Robinette, Jessie Gilbert, A.B. Quarles, A.L. Wagon and Frank Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers are all personal friends.
The body will remain at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, to lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.
