Our family historian, John Robert Adney, collected records on this family in the 1940's and 1950's. His records show that Perry died on 12-28-1878 and he was buried on 01-01-1879. This explains the cemetery records for North Clayton Cemetery which shows his death date as 01-01-1879, which was actually his burial date. Also, John wrote down the birth date for Perry as 9-28-1875? with the question mark. The tombstone shows his age at death as 2 yrs., 9 mos., therefore, I have shown his birth date as Mar. 1876.
