Ethel Mae was the 4th child and 3rd daughter of Emery Lee and Clara Hackler Young. She was born in Indianapolis and grew up during the Great Depression and WWII eras. At 17, she married Charles Henry Puckett of Oklahoma. They had three children. For most of her working life Ethel worked as a waitress in a variety of venues. She was very intelligent with a quick wit and personable, fun-loving manner. During her lifetime, she lived in Indiana, Idaho, and California, finally moving to Florida in the early 1970's. Ethel was extremely proud of and dedicated to her family. She loved music and enjoyed reading and traveling. She and Chuck had four grandchildren.
