EVERMAN - Jessie David "J.D." Maddux, a painter and wallpaper hanger, died Friday at a Dallas hospital. He was 66.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Maddux was born in Cumby and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of New Heights Baptist Church in Crowley.

Survivors: Wife, Mary Ilene Maddux of Everman; daughter, Norma Lou Worrell of Fort Worth; two sons, David Maddux of Burleson and Larry Maddux of Joshua; two stepsons, Robert Pollard of Little Elm and Ronnie Pollard of Rendon; six stepdaughters, Jeanette Burleson, Sandra Underwood, Norma Lou Worrell and Roberta Needham, all of Fort Worth, and Linda Cline and Judy Corpier, both of Arlington; two sisters, Betty Davis of Denison and Mary Jane Carter of Utah; two brothers, Clyde Maddux and Wayne Maddux, both of Fort Worth; 29 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
