Mary Jane Carter, 74, of Corinth, TX, passed away on Thursday November 21st, 2013 at the Corinth Rehabilitation Suites.

Mrs. Carter was born on August 12, 1939 in Gordan, Tx to Clyde S. and Luretta E. (Cook) Maddux. She was married to Billy Jack Carter on September 26, 1958 in Ranger, TX. She retired as a teacher after many years at Valley Christian School in Utah.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Tucker of Farmers Branch, TX, Benita Hansen of West Valley City, UT, LaRita Reece of Denton, TX and one son Robert Carter of Wright WY; brother Wayne Maddux of Fort Worth, TX; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty years, Billy Jack, son William Avery Carter; sister Betty Davis, brothers J.D. Maddux, Clyde S. Maddux Jr., Robert Maddux.

Mary loved God with all her heart, body and soul. Mary was a marvelous Sister, Wife, Mother, Teacher, Friend and Grandmother. She was a faithful Godly woman who never knew a stranger. She loved everyone unconditionally. Her smile and her laugh were contagious. She will be greatly missed.
