Anna C. Meunier, 76, retired educator, passed away Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012, at The Health Center of Merritt Island. Anna was born in Edmonson County, Kentucky, on September 16, 1935. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1957.

She devoted more than 35 years teaching English. Thirty-two years were in the Brevard County School System. Almost all of these years were spent teaching at Cocoa High School. Anna was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority and Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach.

Anna was the daughter of the late William Edgar Clemmons and the late Martha Alice (James) Clenmons. She was predeceased by her sister, Sue Clemmons Buckner.

Anna is survived by husband, Ray August Meunier; daughter, Leisa Meunier Balch (Steve) of Merritt Island; son, Marc Ray Meunier of Cocoa; grandson, Brenton Andrew Meunier of Merritt Island; granddaughter, Stephanie Richelle Balch; and great-grandson, Wesley, of Cocoa Beach; sister, Eva Clemmons Poston of Bowling Green, KY; two nephews, Daniel Poston, Michael Poston; and one niece, Amy Jo Carroll.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 1 - 2 p.m., followed by Funeral Service at 2 p.m., at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, Cocoa, FL. Interment at Brevard Memorial Park Cemetery, Cocoa, FL.

The family expresses thanks and gratitude to the staff of The Health Center of Merritt Island and the staff of Vitas Innovative Hospice Care for the care and compassion provided to Anna and her family during her illness.
