He was born Jan. 23, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Darvel E. Miller and Jane L. Bennett.
He married Roberta Pierce n 1972, they later divorced. He married RaDon (Donie) Hackworth in 1981, they later divorced.
Del was a loving, caring son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was happiest when riding his Harley. He was an Associated Member of ABATE.
He was honored by West Valley City in 1993 for helping to save the lives of school children from downed electrical wires. Del served his country in the Army National Reserves in Washington and Utah, receiving an Honorable Discharge.
Del's enjoyment came from building models, being a mechanic and photography. He loved teaching and sharing his many talents with others.
Survivors include his father, Darvel (Ann) Miller, Kearns, Utah; mother, Jane (LeRoy) Bennett, Tooele, Utah; brother, Ricky E. Miller, West Valley City, Utah; sisters: Emma (Devoy) Taylor, Jensen, Utah; and Roberta (Darrell) Godfrey, Magna, Utah; son, Michael, and Daughter, Angela, both of Elma, Wash.; son, Jamie, and daughter, Jane, both of West Valley City; one half-brother, one half-sister, step-brothers and step-sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and many special friends.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services, at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main, Tooele.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations would be welcomed.
