Grover Louis Edgar, son of the late George B and Eliza (Ferguson) Edgar, was born in Cherryville, Crawford County, Missouri, March 11, 1892, and died suddenly at his home in Flat River, Missouri , Wednesday, November 4, 1959, aged 67 years 7 months 23 days. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. Edgar was a retired employee of the Lead Belt Water Company.

On April 19, 1914 he was united in marriage to Ruth Rumfelt and they are the parents of four children, a son, Elmer having died in infancy. Surviving with his wife are two sons, Glen Edgar of Miami Beach, Florida and Gilbert Edgar of Desloge, Missouri and a daughter, Getrude (Mrs. Glenwood Cole) of Livonia, Michigan. He also leaves four grandsons; Ronnie Dale and Gary Wayne Edgar of Desloge, Missouri; Larry Glen Cole, Livonia, Michigan and Glen Edgar, Jr., Miami Beach, Florida; a brother, Claude Edgar of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters, Pearl (Mrs. Raymond Donahoue) of Cuba, Missouri and Ruth (Mrs. Carl Martin) of Overland, Missouri, besides nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday morning, November 7 at eleven o'clock at the Raymond Caldwell and Son Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Charles Wiegand, pastor of the Assembly of God Church. The body was taken to the Carr District near Steelville, Missouri where another service was held at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Carr Cemetery.
