Thursday February 11, 1926 - Prominent Citizen Dies Suddenly
Mr. Charles Colville, aged about 70 years, a most prominent citizen of McMinnville, died from heart failure at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Walling, Monday evening about 7o'clock. Mr. Colville was engaged in the mercantile business in McMinnville for many years, but sold out some years ago, retiring from active business life. He was a devout and consistent Christian, being a member of the Methodist Church for many years. He was well liked by all who knew him and was a good and useful citizen. His wife died a few years ago and since that time he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Walling. Mr. Colville is survived by two sons, Mr. John Collie of this city and Mr. Chas. Colville, Jr. of Mississippi, and daughter Mrs. Clarence Walling: three brothers, Frank Colville of McMinnville. I. L. Colville, Kansas City, Mo., W. E. Colville, Chattanooga, and two sisters, Mrs. T. O. Bagley, Fayetteville, Tenn.. and Mrs. T. C. Lind, Kansas City, Mo. The remains were interred in Riverside Cemetery.
