Mrs. Katie Albertson was found dead in bed last Sunday morning, 11th instant, at the home of her son-in-law, Frank Heaton, on Fall Creek. Her body was buried on Monday in the cemetery at Salem. Mrs. Albertson was about 70 years of age and was the widow of Jackson Albertson who lost his life in the Civil war at the battle of Chancellorsville in Virginia. She leaves quite a large family of children and other relatives to mourn her untimely death, to whom are extended the sympathies of her sudden death is supposed to be the infirmities of old age.

*Sister of Emily Jane Phillips Albertson. She was married to Elias Franklin Albertson, also a confederate soldier and was brother of Jackson.
