Mrs. Mary Malinda Turney, age 87, died on April 8, 1961 at the Weld County Hospital, Colorado. Mrs. Turney was born on September 24, 1873 in Wood River, Nebraska. She came to Colorado after her marriage to John William Turney in the fall of 1899. They lived near Greeley for several years and then moved to Ault. Mr. Turney died in 1940. Mrs. Turney moved to Greeley in about 1951. In 1957 she sold her home and since had lived with her daughters, Mrs. Edith Sivers of Greeley and Edna Turney of Pagosa Springs, Colorado. She was a member of the United Brethren Church. Besides the daughters mentioned she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Wilma Meeker of Greeley and two sons, Donald of Powell, Wyoming and Bruce of Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by a sister, Inez Frazell of Shelton, Nebraska and two brothers of Shelton, Nebraska; Marion Dubbs and Daniel Dubbs; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
