Gladys M. Young STANFORD Services for Gladys Marie Young, 84, of Land-of-Goshen Road, Lancaster will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Moriah Christian Church by John Lowry, Vola Brown and Rob Cox.
She died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 12, 1916, in Stanford, she was a daugnter of the late Delmar and Victoria Miracle Young. She was a home-maker and a member of Mount Moriah Christian Church since 1930. She was the widow of Vernon A. "Chief" Young.
Survivors include tour sons, Darrel and Larry Young, both of Indianapolis, Greg Young of Lancaster, and Jeff Young of Danville; six daughters, Yvonne Greer of Kings Mountain, Vicky Smith of Highland, Kathy Estes and Nancy Rollins, both of Stanford, Betty Ferguson of Indianapolis, and Michelle Jeffries of Perryville; two brothers, Don Young of Highland and Roy Young of Stanford; a sister, Winona Herring-ton of Crab Orchard; 41 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Vernon L. "Buck" Young, and a daughter, Sylvia J. Stone.
Burial will be in Mount Moriah Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m.today at the church and after 10 a.m. Thursday until time of service at the church.
Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice of Danville.
